Malcolm Conrad Walker

Sir Malcolm Conrad WalkerCBE (born 11 February 1946) is an English businessman who is the founder and executive chairman of Iceland Foods Ltd.

Early life

He was born in Grange Moor, West Yorkshire, and was educated at Mirfield Grammar School. He founded Iceland Foods in 1970.

Honours

He was made a knight bachelor in the 2017 Queen's Birthday Honours for services to retailing, entrepreneurship and charity.

Personal life

He was married to Rhianydd until her death in 2021 and lives near Chester, Cheshire. They have three children. Their son, Richard, is managing director of Iceland, and the only one of their children to work for the company.

Walker grows his own organic produce, on his estate.

In May 2017, he gave £50,000 to the Conservative Party.

In 2019, The Sunday Times Rich List estimated Walker's wealth at £265 million.
