Daniel Preston Hookeris a New Zealand professional mixed martial artist and former kickboxer. He currently competes in the Lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Hooker was the King in the Ring Middleweight Kickboxing Champion and WKBF X-Rules Welterweight Champion. As of 20 August 2024, he is #5 in the UFC lightweight rankings.
He made his pro mixed martial arts debut in 2009.
He won his third UFC performance of the night in July 2019 with his victory on UFC on ESPN. His headlining fight against Dustin Poirier at the June 2020 UFC on ESPN won the fight of the night honor.
