Jo Whiley, bornJohanne Whiley-Mortonin 1965, is one of Britain’s most recognisable broadcasters and music presenters. She first found her footing in the late 1980s, working behind the scenes in radio production before moving into presenting roles that quickly showcased her sharp knowledge of music and her warm, approachable style.

She rose to prominence in the 1990s when she became a co-host of The Word on Channel 4 and then established herself as a major voice on BBC Radio 1.
